AUGUSTA – Drew Meredith poured in a game-high 30 points, including the 1,000th of his career, to power the University of Maine-Machias to an 81-57 men’s basketball victory over the University of Maine-Augusta here Monday night.

Meredith eclipsed the 1,000-point mark early in the second half. Mike Payne netted 17 points and Ade Orelaja added 10 for the 13-4 Clippers, who outscored the hosts 31-8 in the final 10 minutes.

Mark De la Mare paced the 8-10 Rebels with 16 points and Robbie Lamarre tossed in 15. Richard Kinchington added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 7 blocked shots.
