NEWPORT — The Sebasticook Valley Community Band will present two Christmas concerts in the next two weeks, one in Newport and another in Corinna.

The performances are intended to help fill the season with old-fashioned holiday spirit, according to Director Bruce Brown.

The band was formed during the summer months and practices regularly at Nokomis Regional High School.

The band will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at the Newport Elementary School Gymnasium. Admission is free.

The next performance is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the Eastland Elementary School gymnasium in Corinna.
