RENEE BISHOP has been promoted to the position of manager at Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker, a certified public accounting firm. Bishop has been with the firm for three years and works in many industries, including forest products and construction. She is a graduate of Husson College and has a bachelor’s degree in public accounting.

RICHARD DUBOIS, a registered nurse, has been appointed emergency department coordinator at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor. He joined the hospital in 1993, starting out as a nurse in the emergency department and later becoming evening supervisor. Most recently Dubois was nurse manager for orthopedic, surgical and medical modules.

MARY ANN BOSTWICK has joined the staff of Phoenix Employment and Rehabilitation Services in Bangor as an employment specialist for the community employment and long-term support programs. Before being promoted, Bostwick was a part-time job coach at Phoenix and previously worked for Blue Cross-Blue Shield and the University of Maine. Bostwick holds a bachelor’s degree and a degree in business administration from UMaine.

JEFFERY R. GEAGAN has been appointed technology operations manager at Bar Harbor Banking and Trust Co. and will be responsible for managing the bank’s computer network and information systems as well as implementing new technologies to enhance customer service. Geagan has 17 years of experience in managing technology systems. He spent the last 12 years working for Intergraph Corp., first as a technical consultant and more recently as manager of the firm’s customer support division in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

BARBARA S. HIGGINS, an obstetric, gynecological nurse practictioner, has joined the staff of Dr. Robert A. Grover in Bangor. A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, she also holds a doctorate in child and family studies from the University of Maine.

SPENCER ERVIN has joined the firm of Largay law offices in Bangor. Most recently, Ervin was a partner with Hepburn, Wilcox, Hamilton & Putnam in Philadelphia. He received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School. Ervin will practice in the Ellsworth and Bangor offices of Largay and will concentrate in bankruptcy, business law, personal injury, criminal defense and family law.

VALORIE FLEWELLING, a licensed clinical social worker, has joined C.T.C. of Aroostook on a full-time basis. Flewelling has been providing services to employees in the County through the Employee Assistance Program. She will work with adolescents and adults with eating disorders and in couple and marital therapy.

CARROLL ROBERTSON has been appointed commercial lines manager for The Varney Agency Inc. in Bangor. Robertson earned a degree in mathematics from the University of Maine, Orono, and has broad experience in the field of commercial insurance. For 15 years he was a partner in the McClure Eaton Agency in Bangor. Robertson will be located in Varney’s home office at 725 Broadway in Bangor.
