HERMON — Thanks to the Maine Highway Safety Council, the Convincer will be on display from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Hermon High School.
The Convincer, which allows participants to feel the effects of a head-on traffic accident at 5 mph, will be located just outside the entrance to the gym. The test is designed to “convince” drivers to use seat belts.
Students will be allowed to ride the Convincer as their schedule permits. Parents may also drop by and try it themselves.
