Sculptor’s ‘Stations of the Cross’ on exhibit at Boothbay Harbor

BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Gleason Fine Art will exhibit sculptor Don Meserve’s “Stations of the Cross,” winner of the 1991 Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture International Visual Arts Honor Award.

Meserve’s “Stations” have been exhibited at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., St. Xavier Cathedral at the University of Chicago and St. Luke’s Church in Portland, and are scheduled for a major showing at the American Bible Society in the spring of 1999.

Along with the “Stations of the Cross,” this special Easter show will also feature the first four of a projected 33 panels created by Meserve in response to Dante’s Divine Comedy. Beginning April 2 and running through May 11, for this show the gallery will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday.
