Glenburn, Kenduskeag briefly without power

Several hundred residents in Glenburn and Kenduskeag were without power for less than an hour Wednesday, according to a spokesman for Bangor Hydro-Electric Co.

The power outage was attributed to a problem at a substation, although the spokesman didn’t know specifically what caused the power to go out. The first calls came in about 5 p.m., reported Bob Toole, outage coordinator with the power company.

Bangor Hydro also received a couple of calls from residents of Judson Heights in Bangor, although Toole didn’t know if those outages were related to the problem with the substation.
