African-American history talk tonight

BANGOR – In the continuing series of programs related to the current exhibit “From Away: Exploring Bangor’s Cultural Heritage,” the Bangor Museum will present “Those Were the Days” from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the museum, 6 State St.

The panel of speakers sharing their memories of growing up in Bangor’s African-American community will consist of Herbert Heughen, Earl Johnson and Sterling Dymond, Jr. and will be moderated by Gerald Talbot, Maine’s first African-American legislator, who grew up in Bangor. Admission is free.
