Question 4 for R&D

Maine voters will have an opportunity to support five different bond issues this November that will create new jobs, bring investments to the state and help to build a better future and stronger economy.

Question 4 is one of the most important bond issues proposed, because it will make critical investments in research and development – an area where Maine’s level of investment ranks 49th in the nation. By combining these bonds with federal funds, we will be able to turn our vision of a state filled with prosperity and good-paying jobs into a reality.

Students throughout the state will benefit from cutting-edge technology for biomedical research, preparing them for a bright future. The University of Maine’s Camden Hall will be renovated for a graduate program in biomedical science – and that would be an exciting project for our city.

I hope you will join me in supporting Question 4 on Nov. 8. It is one way we can take action to support Maine’s excellent quality of life for today and tomorrow.

Rep. Mike Dunn
