Government seeks students to fill jobs

ORONO – The number of federal employees approaching retirement has increased the need to attract promising young people.

In an effort to help fill 193,000 jobs in the next two years, the U.S. government will be working with the University of Maine Career Center to encourage students to consider federal internships and careers.

A program has been scheduled at UM for 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, in the Minsky Recital Hall to discuss job opportunities, how to conduct a federal job search, and how to apply.

For information, call the UM Career Center at 581-1359.
