Eastbrook woman, 19, injured in car crash

FRANKLIN – A 19-year-old Eastbrook woman remained hospitalized Tuesday after she was injured the night before in a single-car accident on Route 200.

According to Trooper Christopher Smith of the Maine State Police, the accident occurred at about 9 p.m. Monday. Sabrina Lane was traveling south on Route 200 near the Spinfield Commons mobile home park when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle went off the right side of the road, rolled over once and struck a telephone pole, then rolled several more times.

Lane was ejected from the vehicle and suffered multiple injuries, including injuries to her head. She was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor where she was listed in stable condition Tuesday afternoon.

Lane was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. According to Trooper Smith, speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the accident.
