Mary (Bessie) Deveau will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house arranged by her children from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Community Building at Crosby Court, Crosby Street, Orono.

The Parent-Teacher Organization at the Dr. Levesque School in Upper Frenchville is participating in the Jif Peanut Butter Children’s Education Fund Raiser to win money for their school to purchase playground equipment. For every pound of Jif peanut butter sold in stores between Feb. 1 and April 30, Jif will contribute 10 cents to the fund. As a bonus, the amount of money received can be increased by collecting cash register receipts for purchases of Jif. Receipts should have the size and price of the Jif jar purchased and may be brought or sent no later than May 1 to the Dr. Levesque School PTO, P.O. Box J, Upper Frenchville 04784.

Myra Wood of RFD 3, Box 240, Newport 04953, would like to find a pattern for a Raggedy Ann doll that was printed about 20 years ago. It was pattern No. 6941. She only wants the size 20 because she has the others.

Evelyn Waterman of Route 2, Box 648, Brooks 04921, would like to have the 1500 piece Guild puzzle of “Great Smokey Park”, if someone has one they no longer want. She will pay the cost of the puzzle and the postage.

Norma H. Wiggin of Houlton is a patient at Houlton Regional Hospital and would appreciate cards and letters. She taught in the grammar and high schools in Sherman, and later in Danforth schools.

The Bangor High School Class of 1950 will celebrate its 40th class reunion Saturday, July 28, at the Holiday Inn on Main Street, Bangor. Everald and Louise Weeks will celebrate their 49th anniversary with an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at the Kenduskeag Grange Hall at Kenduskeag Village. A money tree will be available.
