WARREN — A 46-year-old Rockland man who was found unconscious on Route 1 early Monday morning died two hours later at a Rockport hospital, the Knox County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The man was identified as Parker Glover, 46, of South Main Street, Rockland.
Lt. Donald Annis said that Glover showed no signs of injury or foul play. An autopsy was scheduled for later Monday at Augusta.
Deputy Neil Pollis responded to a call at 2:18 a.m. of a man lying alongside Route 1 near the Yankee Traveler Motel. Glover was transported to Penobscot Bay Medical Center at Rockport where he died at 4:02 a.m., Annis said.
Glover has a son who resides in Massachusetts.
