Bangor police reported that someone broke into Wellman Commons at Husson College Thursday. A crowbar was possibly used to gain entrance into part of the building. Stolen were $35 in cash, 144 packets of Folger’s coffee, butcher knives, dishcloths, two sets of gold candlestick holders and two gold offering plates.

Bangor police are investigating a burglary that occurred recently on Nowell Road. There was no sign of forced entry but a large quantity of jewelry was stolen, according to reports.

Two people reported that their car windows were smashed while they were parked at the Bangor Mall Friday morning. Total damage was estimated at $375.

A resident of Dillingham Road in Bangor reported that while he was at work Thursday night someone kicked in his apartment door and stole $225.

Brewer police reported that a scuba diving shed valued at $150 was stolen from a storage shed on South Maine Street. The theft occurred during the past two weeks.

It was reported that a video-cassette recorder and four tapes were stolen from a room a the Stable Inn in Brewer. The items were valued at $200.

Daniel Smith, 31, Lincolnville, was arrested in Bangor and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 23.

Dianne Duguay, 27, RFD 2, Box 29, Bangor, was arrested in Bangor and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and operating a motor vehicle after her license was suspended. She was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 23.

Philip Brown, 64, Park Avenue West, Brewer, was arrested in Brewer Friday night and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 9.
