A resident of Moosehead Boulevard in Bangor told police that her 18-year-old son stole a compact-disc player and a video-cassette recorder from her house. The items were valued at $470.

An employee of Carlen Service Center on Hammond Street in Bangor reported that Saturday night someone pried open the front door and kicked in the office door. More than a hundred dollars was taken from an envelope on the floor and about $80 was taken from a cash register and a money bag.

A resident of Dirigo Drive in Bangor reported that sometime Saturday someone broke into her house and stole a leather jacket and 20 cassette tapes. The items were valued at $410.

Michael Beckwith, 22, New Briton, Conn., was arrested in Brewer and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and habitual offender. He was taken to Penboscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 9.

The following arrests were made by the Bangor Police Department during the weekend:

Floyd Chase, 20, of 105 Third St., Bangor, criminal trespass. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 23.

Tammy Whitney, also known as Tammy Bartholomew, 24, of 110 Walter St., Bangor, was summoned and charged with harassment by phone. She was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 17.

John I. Church, 30, Hope House, Bangor, was summoned for theft of services after he allegedly refused to pay his cab fare. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 10.

John D. Cummings Jr., 20, of 15 Glenwood Dr., Bangor, was summoned and charged with assault after he allegedly pushed his ex-girlfriend. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 10.

William Carter, 30, of 18 Carroll St., Bangor, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while his license was under suspension and violation of a learner’s permit. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 20.

Joseph Guidoz, 22, 34 Patten St., Bangor was charged with criminal threatening with a firearm. Guidoz allegedly grabbed a gun when his mother and two neighbors got into an argument. Guidoz said he only pointed the gun in the air and yelled stop because the neighbors were tormenting his mother. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 17.

Robert Wirta, 25, no address available, and Michael Adrick, 20, 14 York St., Millinocket, were charged with disorderly conduct after a fight at the Days Inn on Odlin Road. Wirta was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 23. and Adrick was scheduled to appear on April 17.

Richard A. Spencer, 46, of 40 Baldwin St., Bangor, was arrested in Bangor and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 23.

Scott G. Privett, 21, of 121 Bolling Dr., Bangor, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 23.

Melva J. Currier, 39, RFD 4, Box 982, Bangor, was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on April 23.

The Penobscot District Attorney’s Office dismissed charges against the following people: Tony Gagnon, 19, Bangor, disorderly conduct; Richard Schmeckel, 26, Kennewick, Wash., receiving stolen property; Lester Lannigan, 55, Brewer, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor; and Diane Nagle, 22, Box 1240, Riverside, Old Town, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.
