Hop down bunny trail with YWCA Spring Fair

Young and old alike may enjoy “Hopping Down the Bunny Trail” at the Bangor/Brewer YWCA Spring Fair in the Bangor Civic Center March 30 through April 1.

The annual fund raiser for the YWCA will feature new carnival rides from Uptown USA, the same group that provided rides for the Bangor State Fair last summer. In addition to the ferris wheel and usual children’s rides will be the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Scrambler, and Giant Slide.

Traditional carnival food like hot dogs, cotton candyand doughboys will be available, but new this year will be “gourmet” hot dogs and Italian sausages as well as a Healthy Food booth offering fruit salad, yogurt and plain baked potatoes.

Craftsmen and businesses will be offering their wares for 25 cents to $25. A caricature artist will be drawing fair goers.

Tickets are available for $1 from the YWCA, 17 Second St., or Libby’s Card Shop in the Broadway Mall. Tickets at the door are $2 for adults, 75 cents for children 12-17 and there is no admission charge for children under age 12. For more information, telephone the YWCA at 941-2808.
