The Bangor YMCA Aquatics Department will sponsor a YMCA-Red Cross Lifeguarding course for those interested in lifeguarding this summer. Two sessions of this dual certification course will be offered, the first running from April 10 to May 10 and the second running from May 15 to June 14.

The Bangor YMCA Aquatics Department will sponsor a YMCA-Red Cross Lifeguarding course for those interested in lifeguarding this summer. Two sessions of this dual certification course will be offered, the first running from April 10 to May 10 and the second running from May 15 to June 14. Classes will be conducted from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Graduates will be certified in both the national YMCA and the new American Red Cross lifeguarding courses. Those enrolling must be at least 16 years old and must complete standard first aid and CPR training prior to the end of the session.

Registration is open at the YMCA from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call Judi Stone at 941-2815.
