ROCKPORT — Marjorie Dodge, head librarian at the Rockport Public Library, has announced the arrival of The Living Planet video cassettes. These cassettes feature anthropologist and author David Attenborough, as he visits the great environmental regions of the planet; he examines how plants and animals adapt to their physical surroundings.

There are 12 individual episodes, running approximately 55 minutes each. Some of the topics include: The Building of the Earth, The Frozen World, The Northern Forests, Jungle, Oceans, Seas of Grass, and Sweet Fresh Water.

The video cassettes are from the Film Program of the Maine State Library; each may be borrowed for a three-day period from the Rockport Library.
