HOULTON – The Southern Aroostook Warriors won their softball opener here Friday, defeating Houlton 6-3.

The steady pitching of Lynn Dubois and the hitting of Holly McGraw and Michelle Goodall led the visitors from Dyer Brook.

Dubois scattered eight hits and walked only two while striking out three. McGray had four singles and Goodall three. SAHS took advantage of nine Houlton walks.

For Houlton, Anne Marciniak doubled and singled and Ellen Lee singled twice.
