SEARSPORT — Searsport United Methodist Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary Friday through Sunday, May 4-6. An evening of music will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 4. Performances will include a recital by the Rev. Betty Higgins and a rendition by the choir.

SEARSPORT — Searsport United Methodist Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary Friday through Sunday, May 4-6.

An evening of music will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 4. Performances will include a recital by the Rev. Betty Higgins and a rendition by the choir.

A reception for visiting pastors, the district superintendent, members and friends will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5. A banquet will be served at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary. Plans include remarks by visiting guests, music and possibly a hymn-sing.

Services at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 6, will include participation by the North Searsport and Searsport churches. The rededication address will be given by the district superintendent, the Rev. Ralph Miller.

A combined memorial and Communion service is being prepared by the Rev. Betty Higgins. Music by both choirs and by the North Searsport Sunday school classes will be featured. Any visiting pastors or superintendents will be given the opportunity to assist in any of these events. A luncheon will be held after the Sunday worship services.
