Something good from something bad

Life is strange! You get dealt a situation that seems like only bad can come from it. How wrong can one be?

In September 1989, my husband, John White, was diagnosed as having a brain tumor. This tumor has caused paralysis of his left side and extreme weakness of his right side. He is confined to a wheelchair.

Recently, friends and family organized a benefit dance. The donations received have been put aside to purchase a wheelchair van. Friends, family and strangers filled the dance hall. Many gave donations though they were unable to attend the dance.

I can’t begin to say how it feels to know so many wonderful people.

Our gratitude to all those who organized the dance and those who contributed to the benefit.

A special thanks to the media, Q106 radio, Happy Acres, Borderline Express, Heartbreak and Justice.

A personal thank you to our Newburgh neighbors and Girl Scout troop for their support.

We will never forget everyone’s kindness. John, Laurel, Chris and Jenny White Newburgh
