Positive Climate Committee holds dinner dance at Milo

MILO — Under the direction of Myrna Ricker, chairman of the Positive Climate Committee of SAD 41, nearly 100 staff members and their guests participated in a potluck dinner and dance Saturday at the Milo Town Hall. Decorations in the hall converted the gymnasium to an old-fashioned ballroom dance hall.

Music for dancing after the dinner was furnished by the Academy Alumni Band. Arrangements were made by Eben DeWitt, retired SAD 68 superintendent and keyboardist for the 17-piece group.

Soloists for the band included Jennifer Levine and Ann Fellows. The band featured music of the ’40s as well as current favorites.

Positive Climate Committee members include Marilyn Kisabeth, Thomas Gillis, Ginger Wentworth, Vikki Carey, Joan Bishop and Myrna Ricker.

Setup arrangements were made: by David Walker, Brownville Elementary School principal; John Sherburne, SAD 41 transportation, operations and maintenance supervisor; Lawrence Ricker, volunteer; and Peter Harvey, SAD 41 superintendent.
