Danby’s May 1 cartoon displayed a gross ignorance concerning the pro-life movement. His drawing implies that pro-life people don’t care about drug addicted babies, poverty and a host of other social ills. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Pro-life activists donate time, money and immense personal effort in compassionate activism. This activism extends well past the birth of a baby. There are many pro-life organizations in this country which offer free medical care, legal counsel, adoption services and assistance designed to help the mother who decides to keep her baby.
