A positive influence

I was certainly pleased but not surprised that Mr. Joseph Sola of Mt. Desert Island High School had been chosen as an outstanding teacher by his students. I graduated from M.D.I.H.S. in 1972 and also had the opprotunity of having Mr. Sola as a teacher and thoroughly agree with Ms. Beal that Mr. Sola is an outstanding teacher who makes a positive impact on students’ lives. Mr. Sola is certainly a credit to the teaching profession! I also applaud the Bangor Daily News for addressing teachers and the positive work being done in schools. I hope to see more of such articles as too often media seems to publicize the negative while overlooking the positive. Beth Gott Chretien Kenduskeag
