DENNIS S. JENKINS has joined Affiliated Healthcare Systems of Bangor as a pharmacist in the pharmacy division. Jenkins is a 1973 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy. Jenkins is a resident of Bar Harbor, where he lives with his wife and two children.

KIM C. MILLICK of Greenville has been named community relations and communications manager for Scott Paper Co. and its S.D. Warren subsidiary in Maine. She most recently worked in Greenville as operations superintendent for S.D. Warren’s Northeast Timberlands Division. Millick plans to relocate to the Portland area.

Central Maine Power Co. has hired MARK A. ISHKANIAN as director of public and employee communications. Ishkanian will serve as the utility’s chief spokesman and he will direct all of the company’s communications efforts. For the last 10 years, he has worked for the Natural Resources Council of Maine. Ishkanian earned a master’s degree at Cornell University.

PETER D. VICKERY of the University of Maine has been selected as a 1990 Switzer Environmental Fellow by the New Hampshire Charitable Fund. The fellows each receive a $10,000 award, designed to develop a group of scientists with leadership skills and dedication to take on the Northeast’s environmental problems. Vickery is a wildlife biologist and is studying the long-term effects of herbicides and insecticides on the reproductive success of birds.
