MACHIAS — The annual pre-season dinner offered by the Machias Bay Chamber Concerts will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 14, in the vestry of the Center Street Congregational Church.

As in the past, it will be prepared and served by the women of the church. Although frequently referred to as the “Corporate Dinner,” it is open to the public. Tickets are $10 a person.

Reservations should be made by Saturday, June 9, by calling 255-3889 or 255-3168.

After the dinner, a musical program will be presented by the Chamber Music Players of the University of Maine at Machias. The players are Gloria Bodman, violin and voice; Jane Nelson, viola; Pamela Cole, cello; Barbara Lapham, cello and violin; David Macy, trumpet and voice; Danielle Cyr, clarinet; Jane Hinson, piano; Joanne Williams and Joan Welker, voice. The group is directed by Gene Nichols, who will play the recorder and bass trumpet. Pianist Edie McKendree will perform as a guest singer.
