Samoset receives AAA special award

ROCKPORT — The Samoset Resort have received the Four Diamond Award from the American Automobile Association. The award was bestowed on nine establishments in Maine, and 949 across the nation.

“Travelers staying at a Four Diamond property are assured of superior facilities, exceptions service and those additional amenities that separate good accommodations from excellent accommodation,” said Ellen Kornetsky, public affairs manager at AAA.

The Maine facilities which received the award in addition to the Samoset were the Bluenose Motor Inn in Bar Harbor, the Bayview on Frenchman Bay In Bar Harbor, the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, the Captain Lord Mansion in Kennebunkport, the White Barn Inn in Kennebunkport, the Sparhawk Resort Motel in Ogunquit, Black Point Inn in Prout’s Neck and Stage Neck Inn, York Harbor.
