OLD TOWN — City Manager David O. Cole announced last week that the city recently hired Steven Tuckerman as Old Town’s planning and development coordinator.

Tuckerman has a master’s degree in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts, and now is employed by the Penobscot Valley Council of Governments.

He has more than 10 years’ experience working as a town planner in municipalities in Connecticut, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Tuckerman was scheduled to begin his duties Saturday, July 9.
