BRUNSWICK — Introduction to the Book Arts, a workshop with printer Michael Alpert, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at his studio, 58 Highland Ave., Bangor. Participants will gain experience typesetting a poem, printing it on a Vandercook Proofing Press, and binding it as a simple book.
The cost for the workshop is $55 for members of Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance, $65 for others. Preregistration is necessary. People planning to attend should send a $25 deposit to MWPA, 19 Mason St., Brunswick 04011.
