National Guard has free videotape

WALDOBORO — Officials of the Maine Army National Guard announced Monday that selected video rental stores in Cumberland, Knox and Lincoln counties had copies of “The New Guard,” a tape of unclassified military footage about the defense of the United States. The tape is free to customers. The 60-minute video contains coverage of tank, artillery, helicopter and combat situations.

The stores where the tape can be obtained are: Shaw’s, Bath Shopping Center; Home Vision Video, Cook’s Corner, Brunswick; Home Vision Video, Pleasant Street, Brunswick; Home Vision Video, Bath Shopping Center; Edgecomb Army/Navy Surplus, Route 27; The Movie Shop, Friendship Street, Waldoboro; Castle Video, Route 1, Newcastle; The Video Loft, Route 27, Small Mall, Boothbay Harbor.
