HOULTON — The Chester L. Briggs Post American Legion Cycle Club of Houlton will sponsor its annual poker run starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14.

Participants can start at any one of eight checkpoints in Aroostook County: Houlton, Mars Hill, Presque Isle, Caribou, Fort Kent, Eagle Lake, Ashland and Smyrna Mills. The run will end at 5 p.m. at the post home on the Bangor Road in Houlton.

Cash prizes of $250, $150 and $75 will be awarded for first, second and third places.

Registration fee is $5 and all types of vehicles are allowed. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Houlton High School Scholarship Fund. Last year, $500 was donated to the Cary Memorial Veterans Home in Caribou.
