AUBURN — A 34-year-old Auburn man was killed when the motorcycle he was riding struck a brick wall near the entrance to Central Maine Technical College, police said this weekend.
Stephen Publicover lost control of the motorcycle on a curve on Turner Street about 4:11 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle veered off the right side of the road and struck the wall, Lt. Normand Guerette of the Auburn Police Department said.
Publicover, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained head and spinal injuries and was dead at the scene, according to Auburn rescue personnel, Guerette said.
