A story Saturday about private property rights incorrectly stated that the Land for Maine’s Future Board was stripped of its power of eminent domain. In fact, it never had that power, but had been allowed to work with other state agencies that can acquire land using eminent domain. Last winter the Legislature added restrictions on how eminent domain could be used in conjunction with purchases of property by the land board.
