SOUTH GARDINER — A teen-ager was killed when the sports car he was driving skidded off a hilly, curved road, rolled over and crashed into an embankment, police said.

Police identified the victim as Christopher Robinson, 16, of Gardiner. Peter Ahern, 17, was critically injured and Sean Bolduc, 16, received minor injuries. Ahern and Bolduc, both of Gardiner, were riding in the car at the time of the accident Thursday on state Route 24.

Police said Friday that the accident remained under investigation.
