The Bowdoin College Upward Bound program will hold a debate and mock election at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, as a preliminary to races this fall. First District congressional candidate Tom Andrews will address the group at 7 p.m. in Daggett Lounge in Coles Tower on campus on behalf of the Democratic Party and will answer questions from students.

His Republican opponent, David Emery, will be given an opportunity to speak for the Republican Party at 7:45 p.m. At 8 p.m. the 100 students participating will vote on the two candidates.
