The Penquis Community Action Program has announced the election of Deborah Tardiff of Hampden as chairwoman of the board of directors. Tardiff has been a member of the board since 1985.
Tardiff, who represents the low-income sector on the board, is a psychology major at the University of Maine and has been a volunteer for many community services, including the Penquis Head Start program.
