CARMEL — The annual Field Day will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, with a parade from Route 2 east of the village to the recreation field on Five Road.

At 11 a.m. a drill team horse show will be held, followed by bingo and a Babe Ruth ballgame. The American Legion Post 107 will provide a baked bean lunch.

A horseshoe tournament will be held at 1 p.m. and from 4:30 to 6 p.m. a smorgasbord supper will be held at the Carmel Union Church.

A street dance will be held at the fire station from 7 to 11 p.m. with music by Gypsy Roads.

Other activities will include health clinics, baked goods sales, food booths and a dunk tank to benefit local Cub Scouts.
