The Eastern Maine Medical Center School of Medical Technology graduated eight students July 6, at the center’s Mason Auditorium.

Graduates were Wendy Akely of Presque Isle, Paula Blake and Wendell Blodgett of Belfast, Elizabeth Cherneski of Old Town, Lisa Cyr of St. David, Robert Mosher of Bangor, Deborah Speed of Dover-Foxcroft, and Barbara Isak of Charlottesville, Va., who received bachelor’s degrees.

The students completed a 32-credit, one-year clinical program after three years of classwork at accredited colleges or universities.

The clinical training is composed of lectures, classroom study and laboratory work where the students are taught to apply skills in clinical hematology, clinical microbiology, clinical immunohematology, clinical chemistry and clinical microscopy.
