WARREN — A small fire in a malfunctioning heater was discovered in the offices of Crowe Rope by an employee at 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Company officials said the employee was alerted by the smell of smoke. The heater was disconnected and no damage was done.

WARREN — A small fire in a malfunctioning heater was discovered in the offices of Crowe Rope by an employee at 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Company officials said the employee was alerted by the smell of smoke.

The heater was disconnected and no damage was done. The company was not forced to evacuate the offices. A company officials called the event a “freak accident.”
