An issue which will probably never be lived down is one which concerns all of us in one way or another. It is the issue of smoking in public facilities.
I believe it is a violation of a person’s constitutional rights not to be given the right to smoke where they want to.
However, I feel as though laws to prevent smoking in public facilities are good and are strongly needed. It may be a violation of a individual’s freedoms, but it is a violation of anothere person’s healthy lifestyle to have to inhale unwanted smoke in the air they breathe.
It has been proven that if a non-smoker inhales the smoke which was exhaled by a nearby smoker, then the effects of the smoke can be just as harmful to the non-smoker as it is to the actual smoker. I must therefore, support the restriction of smoking in public facilities.
