PHILLIPS — The Conservation Commission will celebrate installation of the town clock beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, and ending about 5 p.m. when the clock is dedicated.
All activities of “A Time to Celebrate” will be in the square facing the Congregational Church on Main Street, ending a year of fund-raising to buy the $17,500 clock.
The Portland Brass Quartet will play appropriate music.
The clock purchase was a Maine Street ’90 project undertaken by the commission, which held auctions, rummage sales, suppers and cabarets to raise the money.
