PRESQUE ISLE — Businesses and individuals interested in participating in this year’s WalkAmerica in Presque Isle have been notified that registration material is available.

March of Dimes spokesman Chris Olsen said team kits may be obtained by calling the Maine State Chapter office at 1-800-63-DIMES.

For individual registration, people may pick up donation envelopes for the event at Pizza Hut, Casco Northern Bank, Key Bank, People’s Heritage Bank and Shop ‘n Save in Presque Isle.

WalkAmerica is the largest event of its kind reorganized by March of Dimes volunteers and benefits research, service and education programs aimed at preventing birth defects.

The walk in Presque Isle will be held, Sunday, Aug. 26.
