Workshop to discuss Pushaw Lake matters

GLENBURN — The final workshop of the Pushaw Lake Watershed Project, sponsored by the Penobscot Valley Council of Governments and the Pushaw Lake Association, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the Glenburn Town Hall. The featured speaker will be Tom Gordon, director of the Cobbossee Watershed District of Winthrop, who will discuss “Watershed Districts: The Regional Approach to Water Quality Planning.”

This will be the last workshop in a series of four which have taken place this summer. The workshops are designed for planning board members, comprehensive planning committee members, code enforcement officers, selectmen, town managers, clerks and members of individual lake associations. All other interested residents of the nine communities in the Pushaw Lake Watershed are also encouraged to attend: Alton, Bangor, Bradford, Charleston, Corinth, Glenburn, Hudson, Old Town and Orono.

The Pushaw Lake Association will sponsor a potluck supper and meeting at 6 p.m.
