Mark A. Goodin, 28, 555 Finson Road, Bangor, was summoned by Bangor police Monday morning and charged with violation of a protection order. Police reported that Goodin said he was simply dropping his children off at his estranged wife’s home on Sunset Avenue. The woman called police and Goodin was charged. He was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on Sept. 21.
During the weekend someone reportedly kicked in the door at Swett’s Sunoco on Hogan Road and stole numerous tires.
A woman reported that someone covered her car with eggs, grass, garbage and rocks while it was parked in her yard on Moosehead Boulevard. Damage was estimated at $150.
Harold Leighton, 33, 107 Center St., Bangor, was arrested in Bangor and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on Sept. 24.
Gary LaGasse, 50, 48 Mount Desert Drive, was arrested in Bangor and charged with operating a motor vehicle while his license was under suspension. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was scheduled to appear in 3rd District Court on Sept. 24.
A Stetson man who reportedly was chasing away wild dogs in the woods near his home stumbled on some ground cuttings and accidentally shot himself in the left arm Thursday afternoon.
According to a nursing supervisor at Eastern Maine Medical Center, the man was being evaluated at a late hour Thursday evening.
Deputy Sheriff Daryl Whitley of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department said Roy Anderson, 31, was attempting to clear the area around Hughy Road of wild dogs, which are known to kill dear. He added that Anderson’s girlfriend transported the wounded man to the hospital.
The case is still under investigation.
