Assistance needed at Medical Center 3-day Country Fair

LUBEC — It’s nearly a month until the Regional Medical Center at Lubec’s ninth annual Country Fair, Sept. 7-9, but volunteers are needed now to help make the fund-raising event its usual roaring success.

All proceeds from the fair benefit RMCL. The event is coordinated by RMCL Admistrator Carolyn Mitchell. Those wishing to volunteer should call the medical center at 733-5541.

Events planned include concerts, games, races, sales of food, crafts, vegetables, flowers and collectibles, and an auction. The fair also will offer free health information and testing by RMCL and other agencies.

The state’s largest rural health center, RMCL provides health care, preventative medicine and referrals to more than 5,000 people each year in Cutler, Dennysville, Lubec, Trescott, Whiting and Campobello Island, New Brunswick.
