The tragic death of 5-year-old Victor Lizotte has left a lot more emotional effect than the press can imagine. I, for one, believe the press does overemphasize such and in most of these happenings, the people’s right to know is overdone when the press and media tell the public over and over about such occurrences. Once is enough and we, the public, should be made aware of world happenings.
Too much of that type of new and press is exactly that. Too much.
Counseling available to officers who witnessed that death is necessary. What about counseling for the public that the press or media keep putting through too much and too often bad news? Think about it. We do. R.L. Chace Hope
