AUGUSTA — Kennebec Valley Medical Center will host a statewide professional symposium on sterile processing and AIDS prevention in health care settings on Friday, Sept. 14, at the Augusta Division, 6 East Chestnut St.
The symposium, which is sponsored by the Maine Chapter of American Society for Healthcare Central Service Personnel, will feature Michael A. Domin, manager of technical services for the Kimberly-Clark Professional Health Care Division, co-sponsor of the event.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in Conference Room A of the Medical Center The morning session will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon and concentrate on the topic excellence in sterile processing. After lunch, the 1 p.m. session will be focus on prevention. The program will end with questions and answers from 3:15 to 3:30 p.m.
The program fee is $15 for society members and $20 for non-members. Registration is limited to 60 people and must be made no later than Friday, Sept. 7. Checks should be made payable to Maine Chapter of ASECSP and sent to Tom Hagerstrom, Franklin Memorial Hospital, 1 Hospital Drive, Farmington
