CAMDEN — Town Manager Paul Weston confirmed Friday that he has been approached by Gorham about taking a town manager position there.
Weston had no comment on the decision regarding the job offer. He said he will meet with the Board of Selectmen on Monday night, and meet with the press for an announcement of his decision Tuesday morning.
Weston has been at Camden since November 1985, after serving in the manager’s post in Rockport.
Gorham is a larger community with a population of 10,886 and with 67 city employees. Camden has 47 employees.
Camden selectmen also are expected to sign a commendation in recognition of Ralph Knowlton’s 24 years of service with the Police Department.
Other agenda items are a review of bids for the Atlantic Avenue reconstruction, and a rental fee for a political debate. A number of parking matters will be discussed.
