PORTLAND — The third annual Red Ribbon Week, a campaign for a drug-free America, will be observed Oct. 20 through 28, but training for volunteer coordinators will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, in Portland, and Saturday, Sept. 8, in Bangor.
Mainely Families Inc., an agency serving parents of troubled youths, will coordinate the campaign and run the training sessions. Information is available at 774-1884.
The campaign seeks to help communities to join in supporting healthy, drug-free lifestyles.
