Three injured in 2-car collision

CAMDEN — Three people were treated at Penobscot Bay Medical Center for back injuries on Friday morning, then were released.

Police said a 1979 Volvo driven by Jill S. McKeen, 20, of Bangor struck a 1987 Ford van driven by Geneva R. Pierce, 66, of Rockland as the Pierce vehicle was turning into the IGA parking lot on Route 1.

Police said the accident happened at 10:20 a.m.

Both drivers and passenger Jeremy Pierce were taken to the hospital and later were released.
