Anson man, 33, killed in Skowhegan crash

SKOWHEGAN — An Anson man was killed when his car ran off the road and crashed into a tree, police said.

Barnett D. Paine, 33, was traveling alone when he apparently lost control of his vehicle while traveling along U.S. Route 2 at around 7 p.m. Friday.

There were no witnesses to the crash and Paine was pronounced dead at the scene, Skowhegan police said.
